"Then come the lights shining on you from above. You are a performer. You forget all you learned, the process of technique, the fear, the pain, you even forget who you are you become one with the music, the lights,

indeed one with the dance." ~Shirley Maclaine

Text Box: What’s Downstairs?
There is a pop machine that takes quarters only, a small fridge stocked with water and juice and a snack tray with lots of goodies. All refreshments are fifty cents. There are bathrooms and hooks for coats. Studio A and B are down there too. You’re welcome to check it out but please don’t disturb any classes in session.
Text Box: Please park only on the street. None of the small lots belong to us. Thanks!
        Miss Sharon J
Text Box: We have some changes this year. There are more levels of Hip Hop and Baton classes being offered. The Boys Only! class has moved to Thursday as well as the new co-ed Acting class. Both will be taught by Mr. Shaun Rolly. Our Competitive Dance Team for Joy School students ages 10-14 is also a new project.
When scheduling take note that on Thursday and Saturday classes for the younger students are being offered in the same time block. This will allow siblings to take class simultaneously, and make it a lot easier for parents.
Text Box: Our Sarris candy sale will start the beginning of October. Each family will get a Christmas Brochure fundraiser packet but it is your decision to participate. Text Box: You will have three weeks to make sales. Your order and money is due back to us no later than 8:15pm on October 24. This will ensure our expected delivery date Text Box: of November 15. Your costume account will then be credited with 35% of your total sales. þ
Text Box: I am so glad to see so many of you again this year and would like to welcome all the new students and parents, too. I hope everyone had an enjoyable, fun-filled summer. I spent a week at the beach (OBX) and it was heavenly!
Students from the Joy School had lots of fun in July marching in the Ingram Days Parade as well as dancing on stage in the park. Our SummerFun 2007 classes were a big hit, too. All who attended these events enjoyed them, you should join us next summer.

Text Box: Our outstanding office coordinator, Christine Corcoran, will take care of all of your needs. Miss Chris lives in Ingram with her husband, Matt, her three daughters and her dog Sherman. All three of her girls started dancing in the preschool class and have been happily taking classes since. Miss Chris is really experienced with studio policies and all the ins and outs so don’t hesitate to ask her questions or express concerns, especially if you are new to the Joy School. Most days you can find Miss Chris in the office or busily knitting one of her many projects in our waiting room.
